Una coscienza ecologica non si acquisisce per legge. Pensiamo che la direttiva UE che vieta la vendita dei cotton fioc di plastica dal 2019 sia importante, ma non quanto un’informazione coerente e obiettiva. La plastica non è utilizzabile nel ciclo naturale della vita: se dispersa nell’ambiente impiega fino a 1000 anni per degradarsi. Ogni cotton fioc di plastica si decompone in un tempo medio che va dai 10 ai 30 anni. Il cotton fioc di bamboo è una valida alternativa funzionale, ma ecologica. Anche se confrontato con un cotton fioc con stick di carta, rimane da preferire: è più sostenibile e non si sfalda a contatto con l’acqua.
